Jan. 4, 2023 – U.S. Donor Conceived Council (USDCC) elected its 2023 executive board on January 3, 2023. The 501(c)(3) nonprofit is an all-volunteer group devoted to education and advocacy regarding the rights and best interests of people conceived through donated sperm, eggs, and embryos.
Tiffany D. Gardner will lead the 2023 team as president and CEO while continuing to act as vice president of communications. Jillian Phillips will remain vice president of government affairs and serve as secretary. Also continuing on the team are Tyler Levy Sniff as vice president of legal affairs and treasurer, Melissa Bornico as vice president of development and director of social media, and Lindsay Harris as director of mental health initiatives.
“I am thrilled to continue working with our dedicated team of volunteers as we strive to create a better future for donor conceived people in the United States and around the world. It is truly an honor to be entrusted with this responsibility,” said Gardner of her new role.
Erin Jackson, who recruited USDCC’s founding team and led the group through its first year in 2022, stepped down from her position as president and CEO to focus on other interests and endeavors. During Jackson’s tenure, USDCC successfully proposed and enacted first-of-its-kind legislation in Colorado to protect the interests of donor conceived people. The organization culminated 2022 by presenting at a historic gathering of stakeholders from within the donor conception industry and community.
In 2023, USDCC will continue its advocacy efforts while expanding development of resources for parents of donor conceived individuals, gamete donors, and others connected to third-party gamete donation.
